Queensland stamp duty calculator
Queensland's transfer duty on an 800,000 home is 29,025, but a buyer who will live there pays the home concession rate instead, 21,850, with no price cap. A first home buyer of an established home pays nothing up to 700,000 and gets a smaller reduction in each 10,000 step up to 800,000, while a first home buyer of a new home pays no duty at all. Additional foreign acquirer duty is 8%, and from 1 August 2026 the first home concession needs Australian citizenship, permanent residence or specified foreign retiree status.
