About PayCalculus
PayCalculus is a free website of business documents and money calculators. It is made for freelancers, sole traders, shop owners and small teams who need to make an invoice, check a loan payment or work out a price without buying software or creating an account. There are 16 tools today, split between document makers and calculators.
Who runs it
PayCalculus is built and run by Atif, who lives and works in Lahore, Pakistan. Atif also builds Imagenati, a set of free image tools. He writes the code, the calculators and the pages on this site, and he reads the email that arrives through the contact page.
Why it exists
Many free invoice makers and loan calculators ask for an email address before they show a result. Some assume that every visitor lives in one country and pays one kind of tax. Others hide the formula, so there is no way to check the figure they give. And some upload your invoice, with your client's name and address on it, to a server you know nothing about.
PayCalculus takes the opposite approach. Every tool runs in your browser, so what you type stays on your device. Every calculator prints its formula next to a worked example. The tools accept any tax rate and work with 25 currencies, so they are as useful in Toronto as they are in Karachi, Dubai or Sydney.
How the site is paid for
PayCalculus costs nothing to use, and there is no paid plan today. To cover hosting and development, ads may appear on tool and guide pages once the site's advertising account is approved.
Some pages may later link to accounting or payment software through affiliate links, and any such link will be labeled as one. A paid plan for people who make a lot of documents may come later. The free tools will stay free.
We do not sell data about our visitors. The tools are built so that your figures never reach us in the first place, because the work happens on your device.
How the content is checked
Each calculator is tested against the worked example printed on its page. An update is not published until the tests reproduce every figure in those examples. The methodology and sources page explains each formula, the rounding rules and where reference data such as exchange rates comes from.
PayCalculus is not a bank, a lender, an accountant or a tax adviser. Nothing on the site is personal advice, and the disclaimer sets out what the results can and cannot tell you.
